Chocolate Waffles for Breakfast or Dessert

Eat waffles for breakfast, dessert or just snacking. Their tasty and easy enough to make without too much preparation. This recipe is for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cup of Milk
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup of Plain Flour
  • 1/4 Cup of Cocoa Powder
  • 2/3 Cup of Melted Butter
  • Vanilla
Directions

Preheat waffle maker by turning it on.

In a medium bowl, beat eggs completely with a whisk. Add sugar and continue mixing.

Then add vanilla, cocoa powder and salt. Continue to mix.

Add flour and milk. Mix well.

Add butter. Continue mixing.

Scoop waffle mix into the waffle maker and begin cooking. Length of time depends on the waffle maker, but usually 1-2 minutes are enough.

Serve with fruits, syrups or just eat it as is.

A few things to think about:

Milk can be replaced in full or in part using water. Also, if necessary, grease waffle maker with canola spray so that waffle doesn't stick.

Can Olive Oil Be Substituted For Butter?

In general, butter can be replaced in full or in part using olive oil for baking. It'll make your baked goods more moist and denser than if you used butter. And depending on the type of olive oil you use, it will give your goods a fruitier flavor.

Not to mention that olive oil has some health benefits such as anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants, etc.
