INGREDIENTS
  • 1 Cup Oreo Cookie Crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Butter, Melted
  • 3 Packages of Cream Cheese (8 oz. each) Softened
  • 1 1/4 Cups of Sugar
  • 8 oz. Sour Cream
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

DIRECTION: How to make chocolate cheesecake

1) Preheat oven to 450 deg F.

2) Combine Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Then press firmly onto bottom of 9 in. springform pan. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until blended. Add sour cream and vanilla. Continue beating until blended.

3) Add flour and continue beating.

4) Gradually add cocoa powder while beating.

5) Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until well incorporated. Pour mixture on top of crust.

6) Bake 10 minutes at 450 deg F.

7) Then reduce oven temperature to 250 deg F and bake for 40 minutes.

8) Remove cake to wire rack. Loosen sides with a knife and let cool COMPLETELY before removing the side of pan.

The original recipe from the video below melted chocolate chips to make a ganache. But I took a shortcut and just sprinkled the chocolate chips on top to finish it.

9) Refrigerate for 4-6 hours or overnight with proper storage cover before serving.
