How to make No Bake Cookies with Peanut Butter, Rice Krispies & Chocolate

This no bake chocolate cookie recipe is generally made with peanut butter, rice krispies and, of course, chocolate.

No Bake Chocolate Cookies with Peanut Butter & Rice Krispies
I had a hard time finding a recipe for no bake cookie without oatmeal, so I used a Youtube recipe with oatmeal and substituted rice krispies. Be sure to watch the video below.

Not that I have anything against oatmeal. They're healthy for your heart and I love to eat them for breakfast. I just did not have any at the time, so I got creative. And speaking of healthy, 'peanut butter!' Yep, it tastes great, lots of protein and always one of the recommended good snacks for weight loss. Keep that in mind.

Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Rice Krispies No Bake Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups rice krispies
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Direction:

Step 1) Set up wax paper on your dining table top or kitchen counter where the cookies will be cooling/setting.

Step 2) This recipe seems to set rather fast, so it's best to have the wax paper properly ready.

Step 3) Now make the cookies by mixing butter, milk, cocoa powder and sugar in a sauce pan and bringing the mixture to boil.

Step 4) Take a minute to boil the mixture then turn off heat.

Step 5) Now add rice krispies, peanut butter, salt and vanilla extract and mix well.

Step 6) Spoon each cookie onto the wax paper and let it cool until properly set.

I prefer to cool mine overnight.

Here's the YouTube video that I use as a reference. Again, their recipe uses oatmeals, I substituted rice krispies instead.
