Potato Wedges in Air Fryer Recipe

potato wedges in air fryer

Can you cook potatoes in an air fryer?

I can never get enough of potatoes. They're so tasty and one of the healthy weight loss snacks when made properly. Just like in this recipe. It's using an air fryer and a little bit of olive oil. It takes about 20 minutes to cook plus prep time. Yummy!

Easy Air Fryer Potato Wedges Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 Russet potatoes (medium size)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder

Directions: How to cook potatoes in air fryer

1) In a large mixing bowl, add cold water to about 3/4 filled. Sprinkle a tsp of salt and mix.

2) Cut potatoes into wedges. Add wedges to mixing bowl until both potatoes are cut. Mix them in the bowl. You're trying to get rid of as much starch as possible. It's the same thing we've done for our baked potato slices and hashbrowns.

3) Drain water (and maybe give the potato wedges a second washing). Next, you'll need to pat dry the wedges with paper towel. Do this however you feel like. I typically just use a baking sheet, place the potato wedges, and pat them dry.

4) Once they're patted dry, place the potatoes back in the large mixing bowl. Add olive oil, add salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, each to taste. Mix the potato wedges in the bowl so as to cover each wedge with olive oil and seasonings as much as possible.

5) Place the wedges in the air fryer. Set for 400 deg F in 20 minutes. Keep in mind that the length of time depends on your air fryer brand / model. But 20 minutes should ok for the most part.

Serve and enjoy.
