Layered Nachos

layered nachos

When my brother had an Xbox party with his friends, he asked me to join them. He was serving nachos for snacks and he got creative. He made layered nachos. Not layered nacho dips, but the nachos themselves were set up in layers like a pyramid. It looked great and worthy of pictures.

The ingredients were simple. Sorry I don't have the exact amount since it's my brother who made it. But it's nachos and should be easy enough to figure out.

Layered Nachos

Ingredients (approximated):
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Sloppy Joe
  • 1 can Black Beans
  • 1 can Rotel
  • 1 jar Cheeze Whiz
  • Assorted Shredded Cheese
  • 1 jar Sliced Jalapenos
  • 1 big bag Nacho Chips

Prepare the topping by cooking the ground beef and mixing with Sloppy Joe. Drain liquid from the black beans, rotel, and jalapenos.

Preheat oven to 500 deg F.

Arrange bottom layer of nachos. Best to follow the shape of baking/serving tray. In this case, it's circular. Top this layer with a sprinkle of cheese, beans, and/or other toppings. Keep in mind that cheese from higher layers will flow downwards when melted.

Build-up the other layers until you run out of chips and/or ingredients. Place in oven for 5 minutes. Keep close watch because nachos may burn. Remove from oven carefully and serve to a bunch of gamers.
