Quick Buttercream Frosting / Icing Recipe
- 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 3 cups Confectioners Sugar
- 3 tbsp. Milk
- 2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
Use a stand mixer to beat the butter on medium speed for 8-10 minutes until it is light and creamy. Then add the sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
Beat on low until completely mixed. Increase speed to medium again and beat for another 5-6 minutes. The complete buttercream mix will be light, creamy and fluffy.
Use as icing on cakes and frosting for cupcakes as your heart's content. Coloring can be added such as strawberry and chocolate as desired.
Make It Chocolate:
I add 1 cup of Hershey's powdered cocoa:
For Colorful Holiday Baking (Christmas, Easter, etc.):
Add gel-based food coloring.
