6 Halloween Cupcakes by N Tessa
Now that summer is almost over, it’s time to look forward to the holiday seasons. For me, everything begins with Halloween. This year, I’m thinking about making Halloween-themed cupcakes for friends and family members to enjoy. And I'm sure that my church, brother, and nephews/nieces will be asking my help for school parties and fundraisers. Here are a few that I found online:
1) Frankenstein Cupcakes
Make the head by dipping marshmallows in green sugar sprinkles for the face. Use black sprinkles for the hair. Draw the face with white and black icing.
2) Mummy Cupcakes
Use M&M's for eyes and dot with black frosting for pupils. With a flat tip piping nozzle, lay down strips of white icing for bandages.
3) Ghost Cupcakes
This is a great video to follow for general direction:
For smaller ghosts, use marshmallow stacked with a ball of fondant instead of peanut buttercup and malt balls. Of course, adjust the size of fondant.
4) Skull Cupcakes
The skull head is made from a ball of vanilla icing. M&Ms for the eyes; icing dot for the pupils. Teeth are from chopped up marshmallows. A single Oreo cookie for the hat.
5) Maggot Cupcakes
This one is the simplest of them all. Use marshmallow fondant for the maggots. Source
6) Slasher Knife Cupcakes
Also pretty simple as number 5. You'll need a package of Wilton Meat Cleaver Royal Icing Decorations to make.
There are more out there since Halloween is full of variety. I'll try to update this blog for more.
