Simple Garlic Cheese Biscuit Recipe

When it comes to snacking, I'm a big fan of cheese. Most of the time, I nibble on sharp-cheddar and it makes my afternoon. Every once in awhile, I get the urge to bake a quick hot snack such as cheese biscuit. I use Bisquick but you should be able to make a biscuit recipe from scratch.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Here's what I do:

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Direction:

Preheat oven to 450.

Mix Bisquick, milk and cheese until soft dough forms. Then beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Stir in minced garlic. Spoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix margarine and garlic powder and brush over warm biscuits before removing from baking sheet. Makes 10-12 biscuits.

Eat while hot and fresh from the oven. It taste especially wonderful with clam chowder.
